When I first approached my husband with the idea of a blog, he was lying in bed recovering from knee revision surgery that is a knee replacement a second time.
He said, OK, do it,
Which meant you could start it, and we will see if you stick with it.
Then I might get involved, so I had the perfect opportunity.
He could not go too far because he was not too mobile because of his knee.
We looked up online courses about blogging, one that we could take at our own pace.
We watched the videos and rewatched them over and over again and again.
We kept asking each other did we understand that, and we rewatched it again.
Finally, we felt a little confident to talk about and try it.
We got stuck, then the self-doubt came creeping in.
Can we or Can’t we do this?
We put it aside for a few months, and the want to do it never faded.
So we started asking people what they did to occupy their time after retiring.
We realized so many people do so many exciting things.
We might not know what we are doing, but we will do this, and if we don’t know something, we will ask somebody.
We called an attorney he answered our questions.
He knew of a web designer that would help us finish the site.
He knew a person to design a logo, we put our thoughts on paper and started.
