The Retired Webbs
We spent most of our careers traveling for work.
We seem to be the family, always traveling to work, seeing family, and on vacations.
We live the farthest away from everyone.
We have always had jobs in sales and marketing.
So on the road, we go.
When we retired, we had a sense of what was next that kept playing in our heads.
Is this it?
Are we meant to sit in the chair and stare at the walls?
We had to find something to do,
So
- We planted olives trees around 100, give or take a few
- Bought a saw to make birdhouses
- Bought a hot dog cart – sold it
- Bought a concession trailer
- Bought a donut machine
- Bought a drone
- Traveled to a lot of places
We try to figure out the most economical and easiest way to travel
- Went to classes on things that interested us
- Went to a few conventions
- Went to a beekeeper meeting
- Became an entertainer
Do you see a pattern?
- We bought
- We traveled
- We spent money.
We thought we had to stop this and figure out some type of hobby that
- Does not cost a lot
- That we can spend our time doing
- Without a lot of costs that we enjoy.
We thought about it
- We enjoy talking to people
- We still like to learn
- We enjoy going places
- We enjoy traveling.
So we started asking others what they do for enjoyment, fun, and entertainment.
Would they show us, teach us and let us share what we learn with others?
Maybe in our travels, you might find something that interests you.
Join us in learning about what’s next, and keep in mind, at our age,
If Not Now … When Will We … Ever Do It?
So get up and start moving.
Enjoy retirement, smile, and do it your way every moment of the day.
